Fried Green Tomatoes changed my life, it's that good. In a time when queer themes needed to be insinuated, we learned to read between the lines, after all the book is very explicit about the relationship between Idgie and Ruth. The cast in this film is stellar, Kathy Bates, Jessica Tandy, Mary Stuart Masterson, Mary-Louise Parker and Cicely Tyson to name a few. This particular scene in the movie, Evelyn (Bates) has found her inner warrior goddess and she crashes her car into another car (they deserved it) yelling "Towanda!" It's the absolute best!
